My husband and I have been lucky enough to spend some days in Lanzarote last week. Lanzarote is a volcanic island in Canary Islands, with the nicest weather and the most unusual landscape. It was changed forever when the last volcano eruptions took place, between 1730 and 1736. Many villages were buried under the lava and the rocks that now cover the majority of the island surface. And that is a feast for the photographers!
Not just the surface is incredible. Beneath there are many caves and holes, and where those caves meet the sea….
From Lanzarote we can see also other close islands, really tiny islands. This one reminded me of the Atlantis.
And in the National Park of Timanfaya you can enjoy a ride on a camel. That is me just after the ride. Hi!!
